Jesper Sand, designer MDD (Member of the Danish Designers Association) is mainly focusing on lighting, tools, accessories & sculpture.
His work more than anything is defined by simple, fluid lines and an inherent functionality. Shapes inspired by nature sometimes pop up among his sleek, elegant forms to give items for everyday use a humorous edge.
"I am merely & basically experimenting; developing and producing design ideas & objects that I myself feel the need for or wish for".
Design objects are manufactured in whole or in part in our own workshop in small exclusive series or – in some cases – only made to order.
Exhibition debut: The Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition of Contemporary Art 2001. Six works exhibited.
Competition debut: European Design Competition, Lights of the Future 2004. Winner in the category of professional
designers.
Konkurrencedebut: Europæisk design konkurrence, Lights of the Future 2004. Vinder i kategorien for professionelle designere.
